M.Tech Admission Process in Civil Engineering, Criteria, Subjects and Fees Structure | |
While some colleges offer admission to the M. Tech Civil Engineering programme on the basis of the merit obtained by the student in a national level entrance examination (GATE), some colleges also conduct their own entrance examination to test the eligibility of students for admission. Based on the merit obtained by the student in the qualifying examination or an entrance examination, the shortlisted candidates are called for the degree level test in which their proficiency in civil engineering, mathematical concept, aptitude and reasoning are evaluated. Based on the performance of the student in the entrance examination, the qualified candidates are further called for the personal interview round conducted by the colleges. Based on the aggregate marks obtained by the student in the entrance examination and the interview round, the eligible candidates are offered admission to the programme. M.Tech Civil Engineering Course Fees The course fees for M.Tech Civil Engineering depend on various factors like the type of institute, popularity/ranking of the institute and merit/scholarship secured by the student. For example, the student who has scored the highest marks in the entrance exam will get a higher scholarship which means a lower course cost as compared to direct admission students. On the other hand, government institutes will have much lower fees as compared to private institutes. On an average, the course fees for M.Tech Civil Engineering program ranges between INR 50,000 to 2 lakhs. | |
