Sabudana Khichdi Recipe

Sabudana Khichdi is a popular and nutritious food made from soaked sago or sago. It is mostly prepared as a fasting food in the provinces of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Gujarat, yet is also practiced in various other states. It is made in different ways for different purposes.
Sabudana Khichdi Recipe is probably one of the most important and well-loved healthy dishes in Indian cuisine. To create a meal that is filling as well as satisfying, it is generally prepared with a selection of rice and dal options. However, it can also be made with many other ingredients, one of which is tapioca pearls for a healthy sabudana khichdi recipe.
I like the recipe of Sabudana very much. I have shared almost all types of recipes using it. Although I have already posted this, I still get inquiries about it many times. Especially how to make it healthy and tasty while still being non-stick.
Since I have prepared it as per all the fasting guidelines, this recipe is easy to follow during the fasting season. However, because fasting rules vary from state to state, you may need to modify it. On the other hand, if you are not making it for vrat, then you are free to include any other non-vrat ingredients in this khichdi. however, do not make the stuffing with different ingredients as it may imbalance the taste and texture of the original Sabudana Khichdi Recipe.
Furthermore, I would like to provide Sabudana Khichdi with some additional hints, tips and variations. firstly, different types of sago may require different amounts of time for soaking. Therefore, you may need to experiment with it once or twice to determine the appropriate soaking time. secondly, apart from peanuts you can also add cashews, almonds and walnuts. These nuts are not in the traditional recipe, but you can add them if you wish. Additionally, these nuts are not recommended for fasting, so you should avoid them. Lastly, the recipe uses less water and almost no moisture in the end. hence, it is advised to serve it immediately after preparation. You may need to sprinkle some water over it if you are serving it late, before reheating it in the microwave or on the side.
