Government Rules Out Help for Housing Market
With the rise of interest rates on mortgages, house prices are dropping. Real-term growth in property prices could be two or more years away, experts predict, and the Government is unlikely to intervene to help boost prices during Autumn. Data from Nationwide Building Society showed house prices are 5.3% lower compared to August last year, the biggest decline since 2009.
