When you think of a snowflake, the first thing that comes to mind is probably a perfect six-sided shape. This is a result of the fact that all snowflakes have a kind of radial symmetry. However, that doesn’t mean that all snowflakes are the same.
The way a snowflake is formed is quite complicated. It starts when water vapor travels through the air and collides with a particle, causing it to start forming an ice crystal. These ice crystals then slowly take on the shape of a snowflake. During this process, they can have several shapes, but most of them will end up with a symmetrical structure. Some will even have a pattern that is repeated on all six sides of the flake!
