As per Indian Petrochem analysts, limited buying interest has weighed on the market, leading to a price reduction of Rs.2/kg. Effective today, DOTP is being quoted at Rs.116/kg, down from the previous level of Rs.118/kg assessed on June 09, 2025. The drop is attributed to muted procurement activity and ample availability, which continue to exert downward pressure on pricing. DOTP is a non-phthalate plasticizer widely used in flexible PVC applications such as flooring, cables, automotive interiors, and consumer goods. It is increasingly preferred over traditional phthalates due to its better environmental profile and comparable performance in demanding applications. In India, key DOTP producers include KLJ Group and Aarti Industries Ltd., which play a significant role in supporting domestic demand. Globally, companies like BASF SE, ExxonMobil, and LG Chem are major suppliers, ensuring steady international availability.
