Indian Navy Weighing 1000 tons and 118 meters long Indias first steamer Nistar | |
The Indian Navy on Friday launched India's first indigenous ship, the Diving Support Vessel INS Nistar, at the Navy Dockyard in Visakhapatnam. It has been built by Hindustan Shipyard Limited. This steamer has been designed for deep sea diving and rescue work. Very few navies in the world have such steamers. Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Tripathi were also present at this commissioning ceremony. ![]() | |
